2020 Plein Air Paint Out

August 8-22, 2020

What will you create?

We challenge you:

Find a beautiful outdoor space and create art inspired by what you see.

We want everyone—PAAC members, our neighbors

and friends—to get their art on this summer.

Here’s what you do:

  • Identify a beautiful outdoor space where you can practice social distancing.

  • Between the dates of August 8 and 22, make time to work “in the outdoors” (that’s what Plein Air actually means) and create a piece of artwork in that beautiful space.

  • Send photos of yourself at work (selfies are great) PLUS a photo of your finished work by email to pewaukeearts@gmail.org, with Paint Out in the subject line.

  • With your email, please include

    • your name, email address and phone number so we can contact you.

    • a statement that you allow PAAC to publish your work

    • if you’re under 18, please ask your parents to submit the work on your behalf

We’ll publish your photos on our Facebook page and website to inspire others in the Lake Country area.

We’ll also enter your name into a drawing for prizes. Three names will be drawn. Each winner will receive a surprise package.

NOTE:  This Paint Out replaces our Plein Air Competition, originally scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2020 at the Pewaukee Antique Boat and Car Show. We are postponing the competition to summer 2021. As far as we know, the boat show will go ahead as planned.
