From the President

We are days away from the end of my term as President. Before I step down, I want you to know I am very proud of our organization and I appreciate each of you. Together we’ve been through many transitions and our responses have made us better and stronger. We watched Juli Garton “retire” from her staff position and go on to pioneer our highly successful Art & Garden experience. Anne Raskopf signed on as our staff member and, in addition to her “regular” duties, has expanded our network of connections and is driving our social media presence. Our leadership teams have opened our service area to communities beyond Pewaukee so we now serve all of Waukesha County. And, in spite of the pandemic, we were able to continue our programs, making them accessible to many more creative souls.

I am also happy to report that we are financially in great shape. Our exceptional treasurer, Lindy Kanavas, anticipates that we will finish this year with the largest cash reserve ever. We owe so much to our two fundraiser planning teams (Lake Country Art&Garden Fundraiser and Extraordinary Women Fundraiser) for re-imagining and bringing us marvelous experiences and significant income. We also appreciate our many members who donated time, talent, items and money to us. Plus, we send a special shout out to the businesses and philanthropic organizations who supported us with grants and donations.

The future looks so bright, too! Our 2021 Board will be a wonderful blend of experience, with many continuing members, and vibrance of new talent and enthusiasm. All year long our VP, Julia Jaegersberg, has immersed herself in all things PAAC so she is ready to be our President going forward. This is one transition that will be smooth and easy! We will continue our usual programs, grow our new programs, and embrace new opportunities.

What a great place to be! A thriving, responsive group dedicated to bringing creativity to the community. A heartfelt thank you to each of you for letting me be part of the journey. I am looking forward to seeing where we go from here.

Can’t wait to see what’s next!

Get Involved

PAAC has a wish list of events, exhibits and opportunites! But like many other non-profits, we need extra hands and funds. That's where the community and our membership is invited to get involved to build a more creative Lake Country!

PAAC exists to encourage and promote quality arts experiences, programs, events and cultural opportunities in the greater Lake Country area community.

Expect some awesome events that lead up to the

2021 Art & Garden Tour!

See our page for complete details of each monthly event January - July!

How you can support the Art & Garden Tour...

There are two key things you can do to help us make this event as strong as possible:

1) Attend the monthly "warm up events", like the December 5 event at Hawks Inn, and invite others to join you. You’ll help us build up our community partners AND help us build awareness of the tour.

2) Suggest businesses or individuals who might want to be a sponsor. Our sponsorship schedule starts at $300 and provides opportunities at several levels above that dollar amount. We offer great recognition and perks in exchange for the financial contribution! The sponsorship schedule and form is on our website if you want to see it. Or you can suggest names to Juli Garton (
