Plein Air Painting Competition and Sale, Floral

Design Demonstration Inspired by PAAC Artwork,

24-Hour Theater Performance, Art Demonstrations,

Poetry Readings and more!

Calling all plein air painters or those who would like to give it a try!

Sign up to participate during a 5-hour window to create a

finished painting and have it framed and ready for sale. All

paintings will be judged and offered for sale; and first-, secondand

third-place winners, and 4 honorable mentions will be

presented with cash awards.

Painting starts at 8 am. Painting must be completed, framed,

and ready for judging by 1:00 pm. Artworks for sale onsite. PAAC

receives 35% of each sale. Artists may bring up to 3 additional

works to sell off the easel (35% back to PAAC).

Floral Design Inspired by PAAC Artwork

Two professional floral designers will create floral masterpieces

based on two PAAC-member paintings. Watch the designers as

they bring the inspirational painting to life through creative use of

floral elements from 12-3pm inside the history center.

Poetry readings by Lake Country writers at 3pm. 

Enjoy a live reading of selected poems.

24-Hour Theater Production

Join us as we watch area youth actors perform a play they

created in 24 hours - writing, set design, costumes and

rehearsals. Performance at 5pm at Hawks Inn grounds.

Ongoing performances by poets, dancers, musicians and artist

demonstrations throughout the afternoon, as well as displays of

the morning’s plein air art competition, photo contest winners,

community weave, and more.

Food and beverages available for purchase.

Free of charge, donations encouraged.
