We welcome young writers to gain hands-on experience writing poetry by learning to craft an object poem, an exercise in exploring the potential connections that can be found in everyday objects. Working with a local poetry writer, participants will practice using methods to spark inspiration and organize their creativity and perspectives into the written art form. The workshop will give students a chance to discover poetry as a means of expression. The young poets ay then have the opportunity to shre their writings for all to enjoy during the session if they wish.
