We have a fun opportunity for you to share your artistic talents to benefit the dogs, cats and other animals at the Elmbrook Humane Society!
It’s called “Average Doodles of Extraordinary Pets Fundraiser.” Each fundraiser participant pays $15 as a minimum to Elmbrook and emails the humane society his or her pet photo to be turned into art.
If you wish to participate, email me at Julia.Jaegersberg@gmail.com and I will share
your name and email address with Elmbrook Humane Society.
Then, beginning on March 15 or later, you will receive a pet photo (maybe a few) emailed to you by Heather@ebhs.org . Then you draw or paint (up to you) a pet portrait based on the photo you receive. It must fit on an 8.5”x 11” piece of paper. You can use paint, colored pencils, a pencil sketch, digital drawing – whatever your prefer.
Then take a photo of it, and send the photo back to Heather at Elmbrook or drop it off in person. We’re excited to see it also – so please copy me when you send it to Heather. Please hold on to the original – just in case.
The fundraiser runs from March 15 to 19 – and fundraiser participants are promised to
have their finished pet portraits emailed to them by March 23. This day is also National
Puppy and Kitten Cuddle Day!
This is the first time Elmbrook has tried this fundraiser and they hope it’s wildly popular! Children and other volunteers will be joining us in creating the pet portraits as well.
