POP UP GREETING CARDS

Wow someone with a hand-made greeting card with a surprise inside. Experiment with at least two basic techniques, both using simple craft supplies. Use your own imagination to create special cards for any occasion.  It’s a great time to use your decorative paper punches and scissors, stickers, stamps, scrapbooking paper, markers, etc. Join us on Thursday evening, May 6, 7pm CST via Zoom for this fun interactive workshop. Reserve your space by emailing mwidicus@aol.com.

STITCHING ART

Be inspired to try a craze sweeping the teenage crowd: embroidery on canvas art (or heavy watercolor paper). Teenagers prefer simple blocks of color with stitched line drawings. You can follow their lead or create something more elaborate. Select a colorful canvas—your own artwork, a purchased piece, or a photo stretched on canvas—and we’ll work together to embellish it with hand-stitching. Join us on Thursday evening, June 10, 7pm CST via Zoom for this fun interactive workshop. Reserve your spot by emailing mwidicus@aol.com.

DECOPAGE COASTERS

Create personalized functional art from decorated papers applied to inexpensive tiles available at any home improvement store. You select the paper—printed scrapbook paper, hand-drawn images, photo copy of a collage of ticket stubs or other momentos, labels peeled off wine bottles, maps of special places, etc.—and we’ll walk you through the steps of converting it into something priceless. Join us on Thursday evening, April 22, 7pm CST via Zoom for a fun, interactive workshop. Reserve your space by emailing mwidicus@aol.com

SILHOUETTE AND ZENTANGLE

You can create gift-worthy art and reduce stress at the same time! Slip into the stress-relieving pleasure of filling blank spaces with repeated simple designs (Zentangle) to embellish an image that has meaning to you. Select a simple shape or drawing (it’s okay to trace!) and fill the object with designs to create movement or leave the object blank and fill in the background. Either approach is fun and rewarding. Join us on Thursday evening, March 18, 7pmCST via Zoom for a fun, interactive workshop. Reserve your space by emailing mwidicus@aol.com
